Mieders offers the ultimate holiday feeling and a wide variety of activities as well as large selection of local products and specialities, delicious restaurants and alpine huts as well as the chance to make acquaintances with wool pigs, chickens and maybe even a donkey on one of your strolls through the village and surrounding area. Unspoilt nature, majestic mountains and lovely people - this is what the Stubai Valley is known for.
Within 7 minutes by foot you reach the center of Mieders with its small Spar Supermarket, a pharmacy and a very good butcher
(he only opens Friday afternoon).
Winter:
The ski slopes of the Serles Lift are only a few steps away from the Glücksplatzl and when you are done skiing you can ski straight back to your apartment. Ski touring, toboganging and snow shoe
hiking are possible from the house as well
Other ski areas of the Stubai Valley can be easily reached with the free ski bus: The Schlick 2000, 11-er Lifte and the Stubai glacier. Within a a 20 minute-radius you
find many more ski areas, like the Bergeralm or the Patscherkofel.
Summer and Hiking Season:
Lots of hiking trails await you along with a thrilling summer toboggan run which can be reached within a few minutes
walk from your Home away from Home.
The Stubai valley offers many possibilities to cool down. The Miederer Badl, the local swimming pool, is right next door, the Stubay, a large swimming and spa complex with a slide, indoor and outdoor pools as well as a large wellness area is only a 5 minute drive away. The absolute highlight and my personal favorit is the spectecular "spa lake" in Milders. Fed with water from a mountain spring combined with most amazing views.
All year around.
Mieders is not only convenient to explore the mountains, Innsbruck can be reached within 15 minutes by car or 30 minutes by bus. Shops, museums, the Bergisel ski jump and the alpine zoo are a fun
experience for every age.
The Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens are a special Magnet for international guests.
Fancy an italian Espresso? Hop in your car and within 20 minutes you reach the Brenner Pass, the border to Italy. Cross the border and you will realize that italian is really better than anywhere
else - let's call it the italian coffee phenomenon.
And for the times you want to do abolutely nothing but chillax, then the Glückspaltzl is the perfect spot to do so!
